Question #1:

Why does my car need jumps frequently?

Recently my car has been needing jumps. As soon as the jumper cables touch the battery its fine... The battery gauge says its at middle capacity... so do i need a new battery? my alternator looked at? please help!

Motherboard won't work?

I have just bought a DFI LP DK P55-T3EH9 motherboard to replace my defective Gigabyte.
I swapped over everything, CPU, memory, graphics etc etc. Powering the mobo is my new Corsair 1000w PSU.
All cables are in the right place as I have built many computers.
However, when I hit the power switch, the power light on my case just flashes onces and then the fans start up. But thats it. No display, my graphics fan doesn't start either. There is no beeping from the computer to report errors as well. The motherboard has a built is POST fault code display. But it does nothing, its just blank.
Even though the case and CPU fans spin up, the computer runs for about 10 seconds, then it just reboots over and over and over.
I've removed all HD's, DVD drives, any other cards, the memory and still it does the same thing.
So basically I need to know if this motherboard which is brand new, is U/S. Or is there a solution?
I've tried resetting the bios with the jumper but no change.

I tried all suggestions and my CPU is compatable with this board. I even tried a BIOS update via usb and that didnt fix the issue. This has proven one thing for me, don't buy DFI. Why? totally worthless out the box. The manual is a handful of english with NO pages on the BIOS, you have to go online for that, poor build quality (the pci-e slot doesn't even have a clip to hold it in place). Not to mention the driver CD that came with the board is unreadable. I've tried it in 3 computers and it cant read it. So in a nutshell, avoid DFI. I'm sending this back. Thanks peeps.

as soon as i let it idle it dies. what could cause this

help with barracuda 7200.7 160g hard drive as a master?

I have an older pc with windows xp, a barracuda 7200.7 160g as a master and i got a WD Caviar blue 500g to install as a slave but i need help with the jumper settings on the barracuda it has only 8 pins and three different ways you can set the jumper, one says "master on" "slave off" an other says "cable select" and the other limits the drive to 32g, i tried the "cable select" setting for the barracuda and the "cable select" on the western digital and nothing, i can't see the new drive on "my computer",then i tried all the other settings and different things happen but i can't see the new drive at all. Is there an extra step I'm missing or need to do? I almost forgot, they both plug on to one interface with an ide cable. the western digital has 10 pins and 4 different settings one says "cable select" 2nd says "master or single" 3rd says "Master with slave present" and the other says "slave".Please help.

1995 Acura Integra turns over but won't start?

So i went to start my 95 acura integra this morning and got nothing but a quick click and that's all. I've had the battery die on me a couple of time's due to leaving my amp on but with a quick jump it would start right up. So this time i checked the battery voltage and it was around 9volts so it was a little low try jumping and it seemed that the battery was charging my dash lights would light up like normal while turning the ignition switch but when i turn switch completely it will turn over not start and the battery would go dead again even while i have the jumper cables connected. Last summer i changed the starter and put a optima yellow top battery in the but not sure whats going on with it now.any ideas?

I thought my sisters ex was interested, but now i don't know...?

Back in May, my sister dated a guy she had known for 2 years, but decided that he wasn't anything like she wanted and she broke up with him. Since my sister and I are not close, we barely talk, i had never been around him. Well, he and i added each other on fb and on a Wednesday night he posted that none of his friends were doing anything so he was going to bed. I chimed in and said "You didn't ask me" and long story short, i sent him my number. That Saturday morning @ 8:30 he texted me and invited me to hang out with him and his friends. I went, he had car trouble and i ended up buying jumper cables to jump his car and told him to keep the cables. He texted me the next morning saying "sorry about last night. thanks for being so sweet". Then today, i was at an assembly and he was there, but as i'm driving to the assembly with a friend he sends me a text that says "I'll let you know where im sitting". About 30 minutes afterwards, he was walking around looking for me...we didn't cross paths. At lunch he texted asking where I was specifically sitting and I replied to him & he said he saw me. When we ran into each other in the foyer, my brother (who lives with my sister) showed up & stopped to talk but then my sisters ex blew me off...Was it because the rest of my family was there and he didn't want to cause a disturbance or am i reading the signals wrong? By the way, we are both in our 30's.
First, me and my sister aren't close. we don't even talk but in family emergencies.
Second, neither one of us were "chasing" after each other...we were just friends. It just seems that he carries it beyond a friend area.
they haven't slept together...the only reason she dated him is because she wanted the attention..and he is now aware of it. Like me, he doesn't have any respect for my sister anymore.

how do i fix my bike?

my fuel pump on my 2006 boulivard suzuki c50 gummed up and i replaced it. well i put a new one on and i start my bike and it will run for about 5 sec. then stop everytime.. i need a new batterie but i hooked it up to jumper cables and it will start but not run to exceed 5 sec. does anyone know whats going on?

Ford Explorer Sport Trac (2004) Question?

When trying to turn on the vehicle it did not start and none of the lights would turn on. I used jumper cables to get it to start but the fuel gauge read empty even though I knew it was not. Regardless, I put in gas and it was less than $15 so I know it wasn't empty. After dispensing the gas the fuel gauge read Full. Also, before I put in more gas, when I stepped on the gas pedal all the way down (while in park) it would not accelerate. It would maintain only a constant sound. After dispensing the additional gas though, the accelerator was fine. Could this be an issue with the battery (which is only 1 year old) or the gas tank? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

How do I set up this Arduino project?

I plan on combining an electronics with art by installing an arduino project into a sculpture. I need the arduino to control a small led light display which will be flowing in a tiny cylon fashion in a heart monitor formation about 8-9 inches long. How could I set this up, maybe by connecting jumper cables to a breadboard? Also, would I need to use the original Arduino, or the Arduino Nano? These are just a few questions. It would be awesome if you could make some personal schematics for me. Your help will be greatly appreciated!

I have always thought that in order to use jumper cables to start a dead battery for a car, one simply connects the positive terminals of the batteries together, and likewise with the negative terminals. I myself have witnessed this being done. However, my car's user manual says that inside the car with the dead battery, the negative cable should not be connected to the negative battery terminal, but instead should be connected to the ground screw. Is there a reason for this?

i have just brought a 20gb ide hard drive to put in my tower and use as a network drive to share files between my dads tower and laptop and my tower and laptop.(i am 14 (obviously)living at home) the hard drive in my tower is a 250gb sata and connects with this cable ( Click Here ) and ( Click Here ) the hard drive uses this ide cable ( Click Here ). my motherboard has 2 ide ports. ide 2 is being used by my 2 disc drives. will the ide hard drive connect to the ide1 port and do i set the jumper to slave or master. the drive will NOT have an operating system on just music and pictures. i need the 250gb one to still be my main drive.
no the size aint the matter. i just need a few gig to share a few files. cba with mem sticks
